Fort Morgan Historic Site
Located on Mobile Point, at the end of Scenic Fort Morgan Peninsula, Fort Morgan Historic Site has a diverse number of activities to make your vacation memorable. Preceded by another fort, Fort Bowyer during the War of 1812, Fort Morgan is a Third System masonry fort built between 1819 and 1833.
Standing guard where the bay meets the Gulf of Mexico, the fort played a significant role in the Battle of Mobile Bay in August 1864. Used intermittently through the Spanish American War, World War I and World War II, the site showcases the evolution of seacoast fortifications and adaptations made by the U.S. Army for the defense of the country.
The grounds offer more than just history, the site also has nature areas, a boat launch, picnic area, and beaches for visitors to enjoy. VIEW WEBSITE

Golf at Kiva Dunes
Located next door to 102d Bliss and 1205d Serenity at the Beach Club Resort & Spa, Kiva Dunes Golf Course is always at the top of the list when people talk about the best golf in Alabama, and it’s easy to see why. This gorgeous track winds through a secluded piece of land, presenting incredible shotmaking opportunities in an unforgettable setting.
The links-style course was ranked the number one public golf course in Alabama by Golf Advisor in 2017, and over the years, the course has received many awards from Golf Digest, Golf Week and Links Magazine. The layout was created by Jim Edgemon, the property’s developer, and longtime friend and former U.S. Open Champion Jerry Pate. The two share a love of the sport, which led to the partnership that resulted in the No. 1 public golf course in Alabama.
